    • New York Area Translational Research Forum

      Tuesday, 21 Apr 2009 - 23:23 UTC

Due to the high density of translational researchers in the greater New York area, we recently started up the New York Translational Research Forum. This is different from the previous Translational Research Forum in that it is designed specifically for New York area scientists.

This forum is for local researchers to discuss their ideas about translational research projects, as well as published translational and interdisciplinary research. We hope you can use this forum to identify and interact with potential collaborators and get advice on carrying out translational research studies. We will also be posting any New York area events pertaining to translational research on the forum and encourage you to do the same.

I will be moderating the forum with Nature Network member Ranjani Varadan. Ranjani is a structural biologist by training, but has an interest in translational research and science communication. Check out her first post on the challenges of eradicating TB.

Feel free to join the forum and post questions or initiate discussions. The more the merrier, so tell your colleagues and help spread the word!

Thanks more to Caryn :) I hope scientists in the area, even if they are not in translational research directly, will find the forum a place for exchange of interesting ideas and information.
