Description
Larger than the planet Mercury, Saturn’s giant moon Titan is a world of secrets, permanently shrouded in dense orange clouds. For centuries astronomers have wondered what lay beneath and in 2005 the Cassini-Huygens Mission finally gave us our first breathtaking views of the surface.
In this talk, Rosaly Lopes, Mission Scientist, will take us on a voyage of discovery, revealing Titan’s surreal landscapes of mountains, sand dunes and ice volcanoes, where rivers of liquid methane flow down to vast oily seas.
