Description

Beth Barber has been employed at Kew since September 2002, initially as rotational trainee and since October 2004 as permanent Band A on the Rock Garden. Her trip was funded by John Scott Marshall travel bursary. The destination was Val d’Aosta and the Italian Alps to work in Giardino Botanico Alpino Saussurea for two weeks and spend time botanising the flora of the Mont Blanc massif and the Gran Paradiso National Park.

Additional information

Lectures are preceded by short items of interest given by Kew staff and students, and members of the public. The main lecture generally last forty to forty-five minutes. Please note we are unable to take advance bookings for lectures, tickets are sold (£2) on a first-come, first-served basis on the evening. The lectures will take place in the Jodrell Lecture Theatre accessed via Jodrell Gate on Kew Road.
