Description

The original film adaptation of HG Wells’ classic Island of Dr Moreau depicts a horrifying and fantastical tale of human/animal experimentation, rebellion and adventure. An obsessive and reclusive scientist establishes himself as the tyrant ruler of a population of mutated beasts – the products of his own evolutionary experiments. Following a nearby shipwreck, outsiders arrive on the island in time to see the fiends rise up against their master.

Dr Joe Cain, UCL Historian of Science will introduce the film, and a free glass of wine will be served in a private view of the Museum.
