The European Glial Cell meetings have provided an international focus for workers interested in neuro-glia interactions since they started in 1994. The 2007 London meeting will deal with the biology of glial cells in development, health and disease, in addition to more general issues in development neurobiology, stem cell biology and regeneration. It will offer: nine plenary lectures, up to twenty-one symposia and extensive poster sessions. The meeting will commence on the evening of Tuesday September 4 with a welcome reception and plenary lectures and continue through to lunchtime on Saturday September 8. Other plenary speakers include: Pierre J Magistretti (University of Lausanne, Switzerland), Ron McKay (NIH, USA), Bill Richardson (UCL, UK) and Linda Watkins (University of Colorado, USA).
