When making evidence based clinical decisions in imaging, the balance of benefit versus service cost must be made according to specific guidelines.
This meeting aims to improve the implementation of evidence based imaging within radiology departments by understanding the processes of obtaining evidence, formulation of guidelines and the practical challenges of their implementation. Understanding the evidence base from which a guideline has been formulated can help the user identify in what circumstances and to what extent the guideline should be followed.
