Description

‘To suppose that the eye…could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree’ – thus wrote Charles Darwin in On the Origin of Species. The eye, he thought, was an organ so perfect and complicated it could not be explained by evolution. Join us as we discover why Darwin had no need to worry and hear about the visual arms race that supports of the theory of evolution. This event is part of Darwin200, a national celebration of Charles Darwin’s ideas around his two hundredth anniversary.
