Description
The preliminary programme of the ACM Autumn 2008 Scientific Meeting includes speakers on topics such as norovirus, campylobacter, rotaviruses, Clostridium difficile and Crohn’s Disease. Both scientific and clinical aspects of each topic will be considered, and the event will be of interest to Clinical Microbiologists, Biomedical Scientists and our medical colleagues in microbiology and infectious diseases. The Professional Issues highlight this meeting is Dr Graham Beastall, Past President of The Association for Clinical Biochemistry and former Vice President of the Royal College of Pathologists, who will be attending the meeting to give an update on Modernising Scientific Careers and its implications for clinical microbiology. As ever, CPD accreditation from both the Royal College of Pathologists and The Institute of Biomedical Science has been applied for.
