Description

symposium to be held in honour of Anne McLaren’s contribution to law, ethics and policy in the field of reproductive biomedicine

Coinciding with Louise Brown’s 30th birthday and the likely passage of a new Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, the symposium will provide an occasion to reflect on scientists’ roles in shaping public and parliamentary debate, as well as law, ethics and regulatory policy. Our speakers include Ian Wilmut, John Harris, Stephen Minger, Emily Jackson, Marilyn Monk, Martin Johnson, Hugh Whittall, and Evan Harris MP.
