Description

The Institute For Figuring Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef exhibition is coming to The Hayward.

On Friday June 13 there is a day-long symposium on the issues raised by the project – from feminine craft practice to the history of hyperbolic geometry and the role of aesthetic expression as an activating force for environmental action. The Symposium brings together crafters, artists, scientists, mathematicians, and environmental activists. The show itself is going to be amazing and includes a huge new UK Reef – currently under construction by the citizens of the UK and Ireland.
