Description
Run by students, for students, this is a chance to meet and chat to established science reporters, writers and freelancers. The evening will kick-off with a formal question and answer session with a panel of experienced and well-known science journalists. They will share their secrets and tell us all about their ‘big break’ in this profession. For the second part of the evening, we’ll make our way to the pub for a good old knees-up – with even more science journalists as guests. You can network away with them with the assistance of free alcohol and for £1, you can get a 15 minute personalised career advice session.
Journalists imparting their wisdom on the evening include well-known names from the UK national print and broadcast media. This is all made possible with the help of the Association of British Science Writers (ABSW). Open to all aspiring science journalists – come along and meet some like-minded people and leave with a mass of inspiration.
