Description

Host: Matt Bence, m.bence [ at ] ucl.ac.uk

Abstract: My talk focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that direct the formation of neuronal circuits using the developing visual system of Drosophila as a model. I will present findings indicating that both anterograde signaling from photoreceptor axons to neurons in the target area, as well as retrograde signaling from target neurons to afferent axons play a central role in mediating layer-specific targeting.
