An introduction to the problems that are being tackled by this newly-founded Institute and the sort of results that might be expected in a diverse range of subjects including biology and medicine, string theory, banking and finance, turbulence in rivers, air and the cosmos, quantum information theory, and multiscale dynamics of biosystems. Wine and a light buffet will be served.
