Description
We will discuss a recent construction of a Chern-Simons gauge theory in three dimensions with 16 supersymmetries and an SO R-symmetry and its relation to multiple M2-branes. In particular we will argue that it is the effective theory for 2 M2-branes in an R8/Z2 orbifold.
