Description
Accurate measurement of pollution plays a central role in the environmental sector, forming the basis of assessments to determine the potential risks arising from air pollution, contaminated soils, wastes and waters.
Reliable and rapid assessment of the nature and concentration of pollutants can reduce the costs associated with its management by facilitating and accelerating the assessment of associated risk, the identification of appropriate treatment methodologies and subsequent monitoring needs.
Responding to this and to support innovation and technology development to take advantage of the potential £350m p.a. market, the Environmental KTN is organizing a one-day conference to discuss advances in Rapid Measurement Tools (RMT).
The conference deliberately aims to create a dialogue between industry and academia within the environmental sector, but also invites delegates from other sectors such as defence, space, automotive and medical, whose technology may be applicable within the environmental sector.
