Professor Phil Rainbow invites you into the world of zoology in the twenty-first century before introducing three key speakers. Collections Manager Dr Robert Prys-Jones discusses adding value to collections through enhancing the data accompanying the Museum’s bird specimens. Professor Geoff Boxshall talks about hunting for crustaceans in the caves of Sulawesi, Indonesia, followed by Dr Tim Littlewood who is getting ahead by going round in circles.

Discover some highlights of the Museum’s scientific research in this series of six evening lectures. Each lecture explores the work of a scientific department with an introduction by the department head, followed by fully illustrated talks from scientists and research staff.

Lectures begin at 19.00 and end at 21.00. Doors open at 18.00 for light refreshments and the chance to view a selection of Museum specimens. Suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over.
