Description
In this talk we will study several simple attacks on LFSR-based stream ciphers in which the key recovery problem is described as the problem of solving a system of multivariate binary equations. We will see why ciphers with linear feedback are inherently vulnerable to such attacks, and how to lower the degree of the equations so that the attacks become feasible.
