As the largest public building constructed in the UK in the twentieth century the British Library is delighted to take part in Open House London. The capital’s biggest architectural event is about seeing, experiencing and understanding architecture, engineering and design. All public areas of the Library will be open including the exhibition galleries. In addition the Asia and African Studies Reading Room will be open all day for visitors to drop in.

A talk about the Asia and African Collections will take place at 11.30 and 14.00.

Engineer led tours of the building begin at 12.00 and 13.00.

Behind the scenes tours of the newly opened British Library Centre for Conservation take place at 11.30, 12.30, 13.30 and 14.30.

Price: free – tickets available 20 minutes before each talk and tour at the Information Desk. Spaces limited.
