Insomnia A day and a half symposium to explore insomnia through science, psychology, history sociology, literature and art, held in partnership with the Wellcome Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL.

_MUSIC FOR SLEEPLESS NIGHTS _
FRIDAY 22 FEBRUARY, 19.00-21.00: Enjoy a concert of music inspired by insomnia
Live performance by classical music group Manning Camerata, including an 18th-century Domenico Scarlatti cantata used to cure Philip V of Spain’s insomnia.

LIVE DISCUSSIONS
SATURDAY 23 FEBRUARY, 10.30-17.00: Join sleep experts, scientists, historians and curators for a symposium that will give you plenty to think about during the night
Contemporary obsession, schizophrenia, cultural differences and complex ideas behind treatment; an insight into the impact of sleeplessness on the work of artist Louise Bourgeois; and a curator-led tour of the ‘Sleeping & Dreaming’ exhibition.
