Description

YPG is taking social networking outdoors this summer following the resounding success of previous events such as FestiveNetworking and EasterNetworking. This is an opportunity to enjoy a few drinks and a barbeque whilst meeting the friendly faces of the YPG and people from other professions onboard a boat while cruising down the Thames. It is about networking with like-minded people interested in hearing what you do and why you do it; it is about bringing people together because effective networking means creating networks that are sustained by common interests.

As with all YPG events, you’ll find an open and relaxed environment in which to meet strangers and catch up with friends. You’ll get the chance to inter-connect over a barbeque with members from other professional and social groups, such as Women in Technology, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, the Law Society, Chartered Institute of Marketers, and many more. And, of course, there will be live entertainment throughout the evening in the form of The Fallen Heroes along with a cash bar.

_Band Profile _

The Fallen Heroes are a six piece band playing the music they love – blues, funky jazz and contemporary ‘New Orleans street beat’ all with that ‘Good Time’ feel. The sound is made up of sax, trumpet, piano, guitar, drums and a big, upright bass plucked by their singer, Ben Martyn. Whilst they write most of their own songs, the band are heavily influenced by the time honoured classics from artists like the The Rolling Stones, Dr John And Fats Domino.

The Fallen Heroes have played at festivals, radio & TV shows, balls and concert halls with their high energy show all over the world. You may experience the sax player leaping from table to table, the drummer soloing on the chairs and the whole audience joining in to sing some of their favourite songs: it’s always a night to remember! In London, Emile Martyn has been developing his band The Fallen Heroes which is currently attracting much attention worldwide, building on huge successes from performances at clubs, events, and festivals.
