The modern obsession with ‘empty’ celebrity and the behaviour of obsessive fans (e.g. stalking). The downside of fame will be explored, including media intrusion, the likely slide towards self-absorption, links with narcissistic personality, burn-out, drug dependency, isolation, divorce, depression and suicide.
