An introduction to the application of Creative Commons licenses and methods in the sciences, with a focus on how libraries and universities can accelerate research through the commons.

This talk will focus on Science Commons, a project of Creative Commons. It will cover the application of Creative Commons copyright licenses in a research context for science. The talk will also examine the application of Creative Commons methods such as standard, human-readable contracts and technology implementations of contracts to non-digital goods like DNA, research animals, and stem cells.
