Horizons Lecture & London Members Group AGM
The new EU based REACH Regulation gives greater responsibility to industry to manage the risks from chemicals and to provide safety information on the substances. Manufacturers and importers will be required to gather information on the properties of their substances, which will help them manage them safely, and to register the information in a central database. This new legislation will come into force in June 2007 and will impact manufacturers and importers of all chemicals in quantities greater than 1 tonne per year. In addition this legislation will have an impact on users of chemicals.
The London Members Group AGM The talk will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting of the London Members Group. We are currently looking for new volunteers to join the committee and any interested members should contact the Chairman Carl Scarlett, details below.
