Description

Research into the controlled synthesis of polymers for use as functional materials has accelerated with new developments in polymerisation and supramolecular chemistry. Key developments in this important field will be highlighted by seven internationally-recognised experts who have led some of the most important advances. Two of the speakers have been awarded medals by Macro Group UK and will present their Medal Lectures and receive the medals at the meeting.

The event will appeal to a broad audience, not only from the polymer science community, but also from closely-related disciplines such as pharmaceuticals, health and personal products, functional materials and agrochemicals. Academics and industrial scientists can benefit equally from this intensive meeting, as will research managers, since it is intended to stimulate new thinking and ideas for research in relation to real-world applications. The substantially-reduced fees for students/post-docs is to encourage young researchers to take the opportunity to be inspired through meeting and listening to these highly-respected speakers. Furthermore, a special registration fee is available to assist attendance by groups of students and post-docs from larger academic research groups.
