Content:
Osseiointergrated titanium implants are increasingly being used in reconstructive dentistry with high predictable success rates being reported worldwide. For many dental practitioners considering becoming as well as those currently involved in the provision of dental implants a number of questions may remain unanswered:
> What can be achieved with dental implants?
> What level of training do I need, when and where?
> What future development for dental implants?
> What type of dental implant system should I consider?
> Which patients should be considered for priority funding and how?
> What level of maintenance will dental implants involve?
> What are the experiences of collegues providing dental implants both within teaching hospitals and dental practice?
