Description

In the lecture, Tim Wright will explain how satellite technology is revolutionising our ability to monitor our dynamic and hazardous planet. He will demonstrate that satellites can, in principle, be used to find the faults that caused earthquakes. He will speculate on a future in which satellite data have an operational role in monitoring the Earth’s geohazards.
