Pam Ronald (and lots of other interesting folk) is in town towards the end of June for the World Conference of Science Journalists. We thought this would be a good excuse for another pub get together. Pam suggests the 30th June, which is likely to be the most convenient. So, how are people fixed? The conference is in Westminster, so feel free to suggest good pubs not too far away and I can reserve some space.

Great – but not familiar with pubs in that area I’m afraid.
think my diary’s free that evening…
The only one I know is Westminster Arms, right by the conference centre. I inagine it will be very busy. Most of the pubs round there are likely to be busy with tourists. Perhaps look for somewhere a short bus ride away?
Count me in..
I’ll try to come along. I don’t know anything about pubs I’m afraid .. hope you can find a quiet one.
If the weather is nice, there’s that lovely boat pub on the north bank by…that bridge thingie. Waterloo Bridge? Sorry, it’s the neuronal apoptosis.
Is that too far away?
Great call, Jenny. Outdoors, novel and easy to find. There’s a couple of floating pubs round there. I think the Tattershall Castle is closest to Westminster. Let’s meet there.
ooH! Count me in!
Sounds good. I’ll be at the Conference itself, and the welcome reception that night, but expect many will fancy a pint afterwards.
Excellent. It’s a big, big boat, so I won’t bother booking space as then we’ll probably end up stuck inside. For those who don’t know anyone else in the group, I’ll come up with some way of easily identifying our party closer to the time.
