This is amazing – I lived on Agar Grove for 8 years! And it is the top London address for scientists. Of course, it is within walking distance of Nature’s Crinan Street London HQ, as you would expect from its “top science address” ranking.
While I lived there, Nature was based at Little Essex Street, pretty much on the junction of Fleet St and the Strand. I then moved out to the Styx. If I had stayed at Agar Grove instead, I really would be living at the office, pretty much.

I believe there is also an Agar Street in central London. Telegraph Hill isn’t strictly scientific enough, I suppose.

For many years the sign for the IOP’s roadsign had been spraypainted to say “Discrepancy park” instead of De Crespigny Park. Who says hoodies aren’t educated?…

The whole area around where the Nature offices i, by the railways and the canl was once known as Agar Town – named after a William Agar.

Astronomers have Vega Road, Venus Road and Orion Road to choose from too.

          There’s also Volt Avenue.
