Evolution, New Permanent Exhibition
Opening Saturday, April 18, 2009
The new permanent exhibition EVOLUTION, invites visitors to examine the fossil, anatomical, and genetic evidence that reveals the shared evolutionary history of all life. Featuring animals and plants that sparked Darwin’s theory, dramatic displays of diversity within species, and computer simulations to demonstrate how natural selection acts, EVOLUTION will also offer behind-the-scenes looks at current evolution research at Harvard. University of Chicago paleontologist Neil Shubin will present the public opening lecture Finding Your Inner Fish on Thursday, April 16, at 6 pm.
