In a bid to gain opinions and views on higher education issues DIUS (Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills) in partnership with JISC have launched a Blog. The Blog asks for contributions on a variety of themes, including research carers, intellectual property and the student experience.

Having just had a quick look at the site, it seems like there are some important discussions going on and it will be interesting to see how it develops. It is just nice to see the government actually trying to engage with those involved in higher education such as researchers, teachers and students and not just those already in positions of authority. Though I am curious as to where they advertised the site, I found out about it through the THE, and JISC, but these are not the general sources for most academics and students. If anyone else came across it somewhere different please let me know.
