This year’s SciBarCamp in Toronto will be on May 9 2009, with a reception on the evening of May 8th.
Stay tuned for much more information, including how to register. Meanwhile, keep the dates free, and let me know if you’re interested in either attending or helping.

Yay! Registration is now officially open.
Please register by e-mailing me at eva.amsen@gmail.com with name and affiliation and any websites you want associated with you. I’ll update the participant list tomorrow (Thursday).

hey great! I love the goals of the camp — totally something MaRSians will be interested in! I’ll be posting that on our event listings. What kind of people would you ultimately like me to get there from our folks? Advisors with a specialty in life sciences? Let me know!

John Macritchie from OCE would be a good invite from Mars. I could send out an invite unless someone knows him better than I do.

Hey Jamie, although there are SOME OCE people in this building, I asked around and John MacRitchie isn’t one of them. Seems like he’s in their main office on Front St? If you know him, go for it – not familiar with him. I see from their website that he’s the Director of Business Development there — what does that mean, exactly?
Is there anyone who works for MaRS that we’d be interested in?
-
Hi Cathy,
I got in touch with John and he’s forward the event details around OCE.
Cheers,

Yes, you =)
Also, someone involved somehow in the link between science/tech (and how that works at MaRS). We have people from both areas signed up, and there’s still always a bit a of a two-culture feel. -
Glad to join the Toronto hub, if that’s what is being proposed.

Hello Peter, nice to meet you. Are you interested in coming to SciBarCamp? Or just the Toronto group (we have pub nights once in a while, although the people organizing those are now organizing SciBarCamp, so don’t expect one all too soon…)

About 15 spots left! Act soon if you want to join us this weekend!

OK, so I clearly missed this due to MaRS website redesign madness. How was it? Any interesting outcomes?
