I invite everyone to join the Nature Network forum called Canadian Science Policy Conference and to let your colleagues know about it. (There’s also a group by the same name on FaceBook).

For more information on the scope, objectives, and themes of the conference, review the Canadian Science Policy Conference Strategic Plan (PDF) at http://www.sciencepolicy.ca/strategicplan.pdf

The Organizing Committee of the 2009 Canadian Science Policy Conference is seeking energetic volunteers to join the Organizing Committee and/or serve on sub-committees to support the planning of this national-level conference, to be held in Toronto in October 2009.

Sought-after areas of expertise include: Finance, Logistics, Advertisement & Communication, Website & IT, Revenue Development, Evaluation, and Graphic Design. Previous experience in event planning would be considered an asset, but is not required.

For more information, visit www.sciencepolicy.ca and contact Marie Chia at marie.chia@sciencepolicy.ca.
