Research at L V Prasad Eye Institute is focused on finding new ways of overcoming and managing eye diseases, blindness and corneal disease and ocular surface damage are treated by the use of stem cell.
Stem cells, from a donor eye, are cultured in a special medium to generate corneal cells that can then be transplanted in to the eye of a person with corneal blindness.
