Opportunity Rover gets its biggest mission yet

After four and a half years on the Martian surface, NASA’s rover Opportunity is about to embark on its most arduous adventure yet.
Opportunity will leave Victoria Crater for a seven mile sojourn to the vast crater known as Endeavor—almost 14 miles across.
There’s no guarantee the rover will make it. Opportunity and its twin Spirit were designed to last just 3 months and are already preposterously beyond their warantees.
