To coincide with the Science Online conference, I’ll be organising a couple of events similar to those of last year.
Thursday 20 August
6.30pm onwards
Pub crawl around four central London pubs, each with a scientific connection.
Friday 21 August
10.30am to approx 5pm
A guided tour of some of London’s science museums and attractions. I’ve still to plan out the route, but the tour will probably take in such venues as the Wellcome Collection, Royal College of Surgeons Museum and the South Kensington Museums. I’ll also point out sites of historic scientific interest as we go round. The tour will be free (including entry into all venues) and you can join at any point. All you’ll need is a Zone 1 travelcard or Oyster ticket.
To register interest in either event, please email me at i.am.mattbrown[at]gmail.com

Full details of guided walk:
We’re going to start off at the Nature offices in Kings Cross, where you’ll be treated to a tour of the building (a converted Victorian warehouse), and a short chat with some of the editors (maybe even Henry Gee). Please meet at Nature reception at 10.30am. When you arrive, tell reception you’re on the walking tour, and you should be directed up some stairs to where we’ll be waiting. In the event that you arrive before I get there (10.15ish), ask for Paul Sng, who will be our guide around the building.
Nature is based at the Macmillan Building, 4 Crinan Street, a short walk from Kings Cross underground. Map:
