Hello everyone!

Well I can’t believe how quickly it’s gone, but it’s already the six-month anniversary of Science London’s well-received Popular Science Book Group!

For those of you not in the know, Science London is the British Science Association’s new Central London branch and our book group (http://books.science-london.com) is the perfect opportunity to ask a popular science writer that burning question about the book, their writing, or any related topic of interest!

To celebrate six months of success, we have revamped the book group by introducing a new location and a multiple-bestseller science book author for October’s book group… But you will have to visit our website (http://science-london.com) to find out who it is! ;-)

So now all we need are MORE PEOPLE!! Don’t worry – you don’t need to read the book before each group meeting to join in (but it is encouraged!) – the discussion with the author will be mainly about the interesting topics covered by the book, which anyone can ask questions about and contribute to. So the more people, the better!
If you fancy giving it a go, just turn up! Details are below…

POPULAR SCIENCE BOOK GROUPSEPTEMBER
Join us and Peter Bentley (http://www.peterjbentley.com/) for a drink and a lively discussion about his latest book – “The Undercover Scientist” (Or, in America: “Why Sh*t Happens: the science of a really bad day”!). For those keen on reading some or all of the book, it is widely available in all large bookstores.

When? Monday 28th September, 7pm. Turn up a few minutes early to grab yourself a pint and settle in!

Where? The Blue Posts pub (upstairs), 28 Rupert Street, Piccadilly, W1D 6DJ.

How much? Free!

Visit our website for more information and other events: http://science-london.com
Also, if you want to join our mailing list to keep in the loop on further central London science-related happenings, please reply to science_london@yahoo.com with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
We additionally have a Facebook group and are on Twitter!

Hope to see you there! :-)
