Members of this forum might like to know that one of our star Nature Network bloggers, Pamela Ronald, has her book reviewed in the new issue (Feb 09) of Nature Genetics (41, 137; 2009).
Tomorrow’s Table: Organic Farming, Genetics and the Future of Food
Pamela C. Ronald & Raoul W. Adamchak
Oxford University Press: 2008 232 pp. $29.95
978-0195301755
The review is broadly very positive. Here’s an extract: “Together, the authors come to the inevitable conclusion of a healthy marriage: ascertain the issues and pragmatically solve the problems. Deal with issues and solutions, not processes. They conclude that there are clearly many transgenes that will render organic agriculture more sustainable, in turn making organic products more available to a larger population.”
Congratulations, Pamela!
Pamela’s Nature Network blog, Tomorrow’s Table for Nature is well-worth reading. I particuarly recommend her excellent series of posts on her trip to Bangladesh.
