Mike Foale, Honorary Research Consultant (Coconuts), is going to demonstrate his new invention, the Cocosplit, that can split a coconut cleanly with one hammer blow.

“This is a useful action for those who like the coconut but do not have machete skills,” he said.

The device got a showing on ABC TV programme the New Inventors last October.
