New Blogging Carnival

Grrlscientist has just announced that she’s starting a new carnival for science blogging, Scientia. She’s been annoyed for some time with the apparent death of Tangled Bank, and has now decided that the best approach is to set up her own carnival. She writes:
The purpose of this new blog carnival is to provide a public platform that celebrates the best science writing in the blogosphere, and its topics will range from basic to applied sciences, from physics, geology and biology to pharmacology and medicine. I propose to publish Scientia on Mondays of the first and third week of each month, starting in April, and just to get things started, I will host the first edition or two of this blog carnival while it gains some publicity. Of course, I am seeking hosts for upcoming editions of this blog carnival, as well as Scientia logos and a 500-pixel wide banner and other images that hosts might wish to use to promote and decorate their editions of Scientia.
You can submit entries here. I think we should all be supporting this carnival, submitting entries and also offering to host it. Some of us do write about science, after all.

It’s a great idea, but might benefit from a different name. IMO the current one is too close to Scientiae, a “women in science” blog carnival.
