As mentioned in other threads, on Friday 29th August, I’ll be conducting a tour of London’s major and minor sites of scientific interest.

Numbers are limited, so email me (m.brown at nature.com) if you want to come along.

I’m currently sketching out a plan for the day, but one highlight is already booked in. Karen James of the HMS Beagle Project and the Natural History Museum has kindly offered to take us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the squid room at the Natural History Museum.

    • We still have 3 or 4 spaces on this tour. It’ll start mid-morning at Nature’s offices, take in the Wellcome Collection, a couple of learned socieites, plenty of sciency sights along the way, and end at the Natural History Museum (with a behind-the-scenes tour) around 4.30. People can leave or join at any point (I’ll pass around my phone number).

So, please let me know ASAP if you’d like to join in the fun.
