I wanted to draw people’s attention to the first Digital Lives conference, to be held at the British Library in London next month – 9 to 11 February to be precise. I was not sure which was the best forum for this, so tentatively I am trying this one. The conference website is here, and the digital lives team blog is here. I’ve been involved in this project a little bit, and it is fascinating. From the programme, highlights include a talk by Georgina Ferry, author of some superb scientific biographies including those of Dorothy Hodgkin and Max Perutz; Timo Hannay of Nature Publishing Group; and a “writers in conversation” session to include Dame Antonia Byatt and Rt Hon Anthony Wedgwood Benn. There are lots of non-UK speakers lined up also. Please do check it out.
