Next SynchroBlogging effort on April 1st?

Fellow Nature Network bloggers,
we still have plenty of time, but I would suggest another collective blogging effort. April 1st is a perfect date for a not so serious post and some of you may need some time for a little background research on your topic.

Fans of San Serriffe should consider San Sombrero for their next vacation trip.
The possibilities are endless, but I’m afraid that we can also go too far. Should we just try to write a number of fun blog posts or should we really make this a coordinated effort with a serious science hoax?

I have already discussed this with a few folks at Nature (we started discussions at scifoo last year) and around. But we are planning EXACTLY this type of thing
-a coordinated effort for a serious science hoax. However, I really want to keep this off the public airwaves until it is done. So I cannot say what the hoax is. But we think it will be good. I note, I did one by myself last year about Venter sequencing his own microbiome
http://phylogenomics.blogspot.com/2007/04/scientist-reveals-secret-of-ocean-its.html
but I felt this year it would be more fun to do a big collaborative effort.
If you are interested in participating please send me a message (which I think you can do via the Nature Networ send a message function).

For those of you that haven’t followed the discussion about anti-brain doping this April 1st, here is Jonathan’s post. We had articles on Nature Network by Anna, Bob and me. At least one Nature Network member believed that there is now mandatory drug testing for NIH grant applicants.
When reality catches up with your April Fools joke, things get scary. This happened with brain doping in scientists (but also on another topic), as Jonathan writes in his latest blog post: Can a spoof be scooped by reality?.
