Hello everybody,

My PCR won’t work, and it is almost three months already. It seems that my MSc thesis will just be about standardization and optimization of PCR conditions, and I do not want that. Does anyone know of a way to detect the presence of a gene in genomic DNA without using PCR??? I was just wondering how all those dead scientists studied molecular biology and genetics before PCR was invented. Thanks a lot!
