Identification of membrane bound proteins by immunoprecipitation

Hello,
I would like to identify a set of membrane bound proteins by immunoprecipitating an transmembrane protein known to interact with them. How different is the protocol from a classical immunoprecipitation in search of protein-protein interactions in the cytoplasm? What conditions to you believe are optimal to retrieve these mb-proteins?
In addition, because of limited amount of material, what sequencing techniques are the best to sequence proteins isolated from a SDS-PAGE?
