DNA extraction

I would like to try out a simple but effective methed for DNA extraction from mosquitoes.Could any one suggest some protocols for the same.

A couple of years ago we had to isolate RNA from tics. My colleague, Dr. Sharon Papciak (sharon@athenaes.com), developed a robust method for preparing the insects for nucleic acid isolation. I recommend that you contact her for the protocol, she’ll be happy to share it with you, that you should be able to apply directly or adapt to mosquitoe DNA.
