Like last year, Nature Methods’ editors will choose a Method of the Year to be announced in December, along with the publication of Commentaries, Primer, and other methodological goodies.

This year, the “competition” is also open for a Reader’s choice. You can go to the voteMoY2008 website and vote or nominate your own favorite method.

No need for it to be a Nature Methods paper, or even to have been published in 2008. Any method that has particularly impressed you in 2008 is a good candidate.

The poll is open until late November.
