  Hi Ana,

  I’ve had a quick look through our content and found the following protocols that might be useful:

  The following is a published (peer-reviewed) Nature Protocol, so will require a site license for access:

  Production of neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes from mammalian CNS stem cells by Andrew Chojnacki & Samuel Weiss

  These two protocols have been kindly uploaded by the scientists to our Protocols Network – these are free to access but are not peer-reviewed:

  Neural Stem Cell Culture: Neurosphere generation, microscopical analysis and cryopreservation from Laura Pacey et al.

  Generation of neurospheres from embryonic stem cells for investigating the temporal specification of neural stem/progenitor cells from the Okano Lab

  hi Ana,
  I am working on similar expts. The differentiation of ES depends on the type of induction factors you are using. Cells are dying due to its intolearance to some of the chemical factors utilized for differentiation purpose, while the growth factors usually results in enhanced cell growth.I am not sure what reagents you are using for differentition of ESC.
