UK grant scheme to help women progress in science

The UK Resource Centre for women is offering technical training grants to help women progress in science, engineering, technology and the built environment. The focus of the grant scheme is to support progression at professional and technical levels and increase retention at key stages in these careers. The grants may help with:
- Moving from a support role to a technical role
- Returning to a professional/technical role after a break
- Moving up within a technical and professional career paths
Awards of up to £500 are available; the first grant period opened on 20 October 2008 and closes on 5 December 2008. More details at the UKRC site, including how to apply.
