EMBO is pleased to introduce EMBO Global Exchange, a new programme beginning in 2010 that extends, beyond European borders, our commitment to catalyze scientific exchange. Building on the EMBO mission to recognize leading researchers, disseminate scientific information and foster talented scientists, EMBO Global Exchange offers new forums to establish long-lasting cooperation worldwide.
In this first phase, life scientists in India, China, Taiwan & Africa can form closer ties with their colleagues in Europe. Likewise, European researchers benefit from more intense exchange with scientists in the emerging centers of excellence in these participating countries. It is intended that this initiative will be broadened to include more countries following its initial phase.
We invite you to find out more about each of the three parts of EMBO Global Exchange by following the links below.
1. EMBO Global Exchange Lecture Courses
Organizers may apply for funding to invite leading researchers from our member states to participate in Lecture Courses to be held in India, China, Taiwan or Africa.
You can apply for funds by 1 February 2010, to hold a course either in late 2010 or anytime in 2011. Further information is available here
2. EMBO Global Exchange Lecture Series
Organizers may select from the EMBO community of respected researchers – our Members and Young Investigators – to visit local institutes in India, China, Taiwan or Africa to present their research.
Further information is available here
3. EMBO Global Exchange European Lecture Series
