We are all excited about Nature India, the India-specific portal of Nature Publishing Group that will go live around end November, 2007.
The website will have the latest science news and features from India, commentaries from leading scientists, a listing of jobs and forthcoming science events, a forum where scientists can interact, a section where they can recommend the best papers from India, a blog and many more interesting features.

Will the Nature India site be operational soon? I did get a feel of it at http://spotlight.nature.com/nindia but I hope it it will be complete soon!

Hi, Sailendra. Yes, we are planning to go live by mid-January 2008. You have seen the ‘recommend a paper’ section, where you can make a recommendation of your own. I am very interested to see what papers Indian researchers recommend. Another feature — the blog — is already up. I’m sure you all will be the first to come and comment. We are just as eager to launch the site as you are to see it!
